Alleluia SATA Support! And other supported tidbits. After upgrading our blades to 3.5 from 3.X.X we have seen a moderate performance boost. But one the greatest advantages was the support for a number of SATA controllers allowing our “external” Virtual server to have an incredible amount of affordable drive space. This will open many doors for SATA based solid state drives and VMWare on our blades.

Storage server

(Testing/IT + DR) You can snapshot and all of that in the subsystem - worth looking into when you are talking SATA and SAS.
