ASM Interconnect Network search for term: A network of IBM servers created by using the ASM interconnect feature. The servers are connected through RS-485 ports. When servers containing integrated system management processors (ISMPs) and ASM processors are connected to an ASM interconnect network, IBM Director can manage them out-of-band.
